First of all, i really want to say i am sorry for being so late to post this.
I should post this like a month ago, but some challenging event happen in my life and i need time for preparation and adaptation. Overall, its all settled and i think i ready to move on with this new habit.
So, a month ago i try some fun trip for crazy handcrafter (jewelry lover, i don't know, i still try to define this hobby :D) like us. And i got one prominent place for the most of jewelry maker in Jakarta, its called...
TOKO KIRANA - ASEMKA
Jl.Pintu Besar Selatan No.18A
if you guys come from Gajah Mada street, you will turn left to enter Pasar Asemka. If you see Bank Windu, you will found an alley (like really small way but there is a lot of store open at those alley) don't hesitate to went in, because Toko Kirana is only few meters away after you turn to that alley.
And in this store will be served with every litle things you needs. From tools, like pliers, scissor, until beaded (oh my God! They are so fulfill all my need with these)
The price is incredibly friendly,
aprox. Rp. 5000 - 20000 for beaded and Rp 10000 - 25000 for chain. Everything is under Rp 50000. It really recommended.

UP IN THE AIR NECKLACE
"Langit biru, awan putih, terbentang indah lukisan yang kuasa, ku melayang, di udara, terbang dengan balon udaaaaara ku, oh sungguh senangnya nikmati bumi, o o indahnya duniaaaa"
That is one of my favorite song when i was a child sang by Sherina Munaf called Balon Udaraku.
That song maybe tell us how beautiful this world could be, but as a child i imagine myself as a kid inside hot air balloon and sees everything from up in the air. And it feels so awesome and great! And every time i see hot air balloon, or even when i was on the plane and see the seas from above the air, i always remember that song and all the excitement when i was a kid.
So, when i see hot air balloon charm in INACRAFT, without thinking any further, i bought the charm. I thought this charm should be hanging around my neck and become something part of myself, something define me.
So, this is how i made this necklace:
STEP 1>> PREPARE
- Three different color rope. I use leather rope, i bought them from Toko Maju, Mayestik. It costs Rp 15.000/meter.
- Chain. I use my old rusty chain that i colorize with golden pylox before.
- Scissor.
- Pliers.
- Ring.
- Hook.
- Hot Air Baloon Charm. I bought this charm inINACRAFT from bukuunik.com. It cost approx Rp 4.500/each.
- "The tighten". Well, i don't know what is their official name (i swear, i am about learning all tools name) if i want to buy this things, i usually describe it as "something to ring the leather rope or fabric for making accessories". It cost Rp 3.000/each in Toko Maju, Mayestik.
STEP 2>> GET TOGETHER AND TIGHT THEM ALL
- Very first things to do is measure the length of the rope that you need. I personally use 10-15 cm to make this necklace.
- Put them together and tight them up with pliers in the edge of rope.
STEP 3>> HANG IT, RING IT
- Now it's time to connect the chain with the rope, use pliers and ring to both side. And don't forget to apply a hook in one of the side.
- And after the chain and the rope connected, find out where is middle of necklace. And apply the hot air balloon charm in there.
And after that you can celebrate our childhood memory with put this charm in necklace like this.

GOLDEN CHARM
If Marlyn Monroe sang about how diamond are woman best friend, well i want to introduce who is women favorite "partner in crime", yes, its golden. Everything seems so right in golden, something stronger, something massive, something brilliant, we always put "golden" after it. We don't called those super great bridge with iron bridge or metal bridge, we called it golden gate bridge. We don't called our ultimate plan as silver rule, but we always made a golden rule to set our ultimate goal.
So in any way, golden is one of my favorite color because those color from very great metal on earth. It shows the joy, journey, and it always makes me feel happy to see some gold (hell yeah, i don't know why i keep quoting from a "pimp") and so here i am, made one of this golden (looks like) bracelet, from used chain (it almost rust and smell like a bad iron) and little help from golden phylox.
STEP 1>>PREPARE
- PYLOX. You can buy this in any store, especially equipment or building store. It costs Rp 25.000 / can.
- Pliers.
- Used chain. I personally using my old necklace chain, because it become rusty and my old necklace looks... so... old.
- Ring.
- Charm or emblem. I use the leaf shape of charm. i bough those from Toko Maju Mayestik. It costs Rp 2.000/each.
- First clean up your rusty chain and the dry it with dry cloth and after that prepare the chain to get "gold-blocked" with pylox.
- Spray it very carefully and don't hesitate to do it two or three times to makes your golden chain really gold.
- And dry it outside, it needs like one until two hours i think.
- When it is done, i dip the chain in to water. I don't know, i just feel like it. Just to make sure the color is really there, and won't go anywhere.
- After your golden (and new) chain is already dry, now its time to put a big ring in the middle of it. Because i want my bracelet have double chain and it needs big ring.
- After we done with one ring, we should measure our own hand, how long the chain we will need. If we got the length, cut the chain with pliers and put another big ring to stick those two golden chain.
- Don't forget to put the hook too.
- After we get the golden chain bracelet, we should hang some charm to in bracelet and make it more desirable.
- There is no rule how or where to put the charm, so do it like as you like it.

INACRAFT 2013 FOR THE CRAFT ADDICT ONLY!
Crafty people, the 15th annual event for us finally held this month! Woohooo... this event will be held from 24th April until 28th April 2013.
I personally went there in the opening day, and as ussual, i always love this exhibition.
I met some real businessman and woman who succeed in handy craft business.
Here's some highlight from this event.
This is my personal favorite necklace:
From left upside corner these beautiful handmade necklace belong to:
1) CHAIN IT UP. This is simple technic, it only needs a fabric and chain. This is not new technic but it interesting to try sometimes, especially this techic remembering me with Chanel Bag golden chain as the holder.
2) ROLL FABRIC. I am not sure who done this technic for the first time, but it quite famous like two or three years ago. Used to be we used flanel fabric (like two or three color flanel fabric) and then stack those fabric and rolled it like a sushi, and in the edge we will very cute flanel color in a roll. Stick the roll with glue gun so the flanel fabric not fall apart.
3)BRAID. It simple, only use three rope or string or anything that looks cool to be a necklace, and then braid those rope, and we got something like number three.
4) This one is really new for me, i see carefully this necklace it used a rope (rope from a canvas fabric) and a ring (a very big one). I think i will try to find where i can find the material, and then i figure it out how to make those.
5) EMBROIDERED. It's simple but looks so classy and elegant. It only needs flower pattern (from batik or saroong) and then decorate the edge of flower with beaded. Looks awesome in the end.
And here they are my favorite exhibitors:
From left to right:
And other thing i love from INACRAFT, is the color:
I know, i have an issue with my photography skill, i need to improve! soon! i promise :D
And here some tips (more like suggestion) if you crazy crafty people (and love shopping) and want to spent weekend in INACRAFT 2013:
Use Public Transportation
From year to years this exhibition always attract a thousands of people to visit. So, i recommend you to use public transportation, because like JCC parking lot have very small entrance (well, i guess, is like one vehicle per entrance, i don't know it has long queue of car when i went there) and its such wasting of time. But if you have to bring a car, i suggest to not park your car inside JCC. FX Mall would be a good choice!
Wear Comfortable Shoes
I personally comfortable wear high heels (i wear Red Mary-Jane heels from Hush Puppies) because that's what really comfortable in my feet. But when eye gazing around (approx) five acre square building with a thousands super exciting exhibitors, I saw some visitors change their shoes and bough some cheap sandals. But if you are moslem, i suggest you to wear comfortable, handy, and waterproof sandal, because when we have to pray, INACRAFT only provide the place to pray (with sajadah and place to take holy water) and there is no sandals. So after we take holly water, we will have to use our footware, which is makes me regret wear my shoes :"(
Bring Your Cash
Unless you are have BNI card, it will be fine! But if you are not BNI customer (like me, I only have BCA Card) it will be great if you bring as much as you can carry your money (to spend in INACRAFT, of course, heheh). We can use our non-BNI card but it will be charge for (approx) 20%. I know, it's quiet a lot!
So, have a nice weekend everyone ;)

SHIP AND PEARL
This is one of my favorite bracelet i ever made (i made a few, and this one just look perfect). This pretty white pearl with silver chain just looks like made for each other. And this elegant bracelet is easy to make.
1) Scissor (to cut the rubber wire)
2) Silver Chain.
3) Ring
4) Anchor Emblem (i bought this in Rumah Mote Pasar Anyar, Bogor. It costs Rp 1.000/each, and it available in variant shape and color)
5) Pearls.
6) Pliers.
7) Rubber Wire (you can find it in craft shop, it ussually cost Rp 5.000-10.000/role. Mine is bought at Rumah Mote, Pasar Anyar, Bogor)
STEP 2>> RING IT
almost in all my accessories will need, pliers and ring, so make sure that you had enough ring. If you want to buy it, don't hesitate to buy it a lot. you must be needed occasionally.
1) put all the pearl (the actually not all, just as much as your hands need) in rubber wire and tighten firmly.
2) Put the ring in the tighten rubber wire, and tighten again one (or two) time(s).
3)Connect the ring with silver chain with pliers.
STEP 3>> HANG IT
After you decided how long the pearls and how long the chain, you can hang the Anchor Emblem precisely in the middle. Use double ring to hang it so the emblem can hang it perfectly.
As usually, i will always said that pearl is the best material to make your style more elegant but tough. And can you imagine those beautiful bracelet hanging around in your hands? I can! he-he-he
CLASSY SILVER PEARL NECKLACE
Now, i want to show you how easy to make different jewelry from same technic. Well, again, I am not sure if this kind of technic had an official name, but from now on i will called it Klep technic. I use this technic to make Classy Blue Statement Necklace before, now i use different chain, different beadles, and little bit different way to make it, i can make this super pretty necklace is looks totally different than others.
STEP 1>> PREPARE
The tools and materials we use in this one, is almost the same with Classy Blue Statement Necklace.
1) Scissor.
2) Ribbon suede.
3) Silver Chain. ( i bough this one in Rumah Mote Pasar Anyar Bogor. It cost, approx Rp 15.000/meter)
4) Ring.
5) Klep
6) Office Pin or Jarum Pentul. (You can bought it in sew shop or craft shop. I personally use Chrypsanthemum Office Pin, the pin is not that hard to bent)
8)Pliers.
STEP 2>> CLUTCH IT
1) Thingten up the klep with ribbon and put one ring in the klep.
2) Use another ring to connect the chain with the ribbon.
STEP 3>> BENT IT ALL
What makes this necklace so special because all the pearl should hang it beautifully in chain. I know some of people use some kind of long wire who had adjustable ring in the tip, but the actually when i tried with Office pin, the pearl hang it beautifully.
1) Put the office pin inside the pearls.
2) Bent the other tip of office pin until it make a loop.
If you are kind of person who believe in "less is more", now is time to change a paradigm, because more is more!!
So, bent all the pearls as much as you can loop.
Step 4>> HANG IT!
Without some statement things-like blue diamond thing- we can hang the pearl in anywhere we want. But there is something we had to pay attention is,
1) we have to decide from where until where the pearl beadles will be hanging. I personally decide to hang it five chain after both the klep.
2) we have to decide how much pearl hanged in one chain. Again, i choose to go with 2:1 formula. two pearls in one chain.
And you can wear it in various occasion, it looks gorgeous in formal party, and it looks cute when you wear it on a date, and it not looks to childish if you want to wear it to work or college.
ps: i know my closing photo is not that great (even bad). i am working on it (on the angel, the lighting, the place, the layers, almost in everything) if one of you had any idea how to make this looks better (like how to photograph a nice picture, or tips how to edit those picture) i will appreciate it.
CLASSY BLUE STATEMENT NECKLACE
I always fascinating everything which is classy. Classy dress, classy jacket, and this one is inspired by all of classy jewelry that we commonly see in some noble family neck. It usually had diamond on it and decorated with swarovski crystal.
So, as my mind picturing Kate Middleton neck dazzled with blue diamond and rubbies, i trying to recreate what it will be looks like if those classy-fancy necklace were mine. So those are the closest things what classy blue diamond necklace looks like.
And this is how you make it:
STEP 1>> PREPARE
A) a scissor. ( i use scissor from Butterfly size 8 because it can be useful if i need to cut a harder fabric. It easy to find it, you can buy it in craft or small sew shop. Mine is bought in sew shop in pasar modern)
B) a suede ribbon. (the actually you can use any kind of ribbon, suede, leather, nylon, anything you want. I personally prefer suede because this fabric are good to mix with chain and not easily damaged like other fabric. I personally bought in toko Maju at Mayestik.)
C) Golden Chain (just like the ribbon, i bought it in toko Maju Mayestik. It costs Rp15.000/meter)
D) Ring (I usually call it "Ring" when i want to buy it, i don't know if there is another term to called. I bought this in Rumah Mote at Pasar Anyar, Bogor.)
E) Klep and Hook (Yeah, this is absurd, i still don't know what litteral words to describe this things. Because if i buy it in Toko Maju, i always describe it as "something to clutch the ribbon to ring" and they said "oohh, its Klep. But i'm not sure it is what is official name. He-he-he. in Toko Maju this "klep", it is cost Rp 3.000/each)
F) Mote or bead (I bought this in Toko Maju Mayestik. it costs Rp 1.000/each, i used 24 beadles)
G) Pliers or tang (you can called it tang kecil or tang jahit, this things help you alot, especially when you need it to hold the ring. I bought it in Rumah Mote Pasar Anyar. It costs Rp 15.000/each)
H) Liontin (again, i don't know what the appropriate name for that, i bought it in Toko Maju Mayestik, it cost Rp 10.000/each. They available in others color)
STEP 2>> CLEP IT
*he-he-he i used those term to describe this process*
1)Cut the ribbon with the scissor and cut the chain with the pliers ( in your own desirable length)
2) Put the klep in ribbon, and tighten with pliers.
3) Connect the ring with the ribbon (who already been klep). With those size of ring, we have to use two or three ring so the Chain and the ring connected firmly. But, we can use bigger size of ring to make it simpler.
STEP 3>> HANG IT
1) Put the "blue diamond" precisely in the middle of your necklace, and hook it with the ring.
2) And put the others bead besides. I personally give two chain space from the "Blue Diamond" to others beadles. And my own necklace is using 2:1 formula. it means two beads in one chain. Because i love my necklace look full and messy.
And this is how your necklace looks like when its done!
